I set out the other day to get myself a new cell phone. To most people this would seem like an ordinary occurrence but to me, it was quite an event. You see I am a bit of a luddite (techno-phobe) and I do not enjoy such things as shopping for cell phones. All of the different features and numbers make my head spin.That’s why I was so happy when I made a quick decision to purchase one of the Motorola Flip phones.
I had decided right off of the bat that a flip phone was the way to go. I once had a conversation about one of my staff with another manager at the company we work for. I was very candid about this employee’s poor performance. I learned the next day that somehow unbeknownst to me my phone (not a flip phone) had dialed out to that very same employee and he was able to hear the entire conversation. That was more than a little embarrassing and it had made my decision to get a flip phone that much easier.
The other thing that amazed me about the Motorola Flip phones was the Bluetooth technology. I assumed that those wireless headphones that make you look like something out of Star Trek would be very static-y. Boy was I wrong, they are clear as a bell. I wear mine all the time know as I really enjoy the extra mobility although I must say that I still feel kind of awkward with it on.
Another great thing about these phones is how small they are!
The sales person told me that the phone I purchased weighs 3.4oz! I am sure that my wallet is twice as heavy as that. The last phone that I had was so bulky. Sometimes I am afraid that I will lose this one.
